One tap starts the sound and the band. Browsers need that first tap before they can play audio.
Play
Gem pads in key; they join on the next beat
Gem notes on the next 16th; keys A to K with the Gem loops track selected
Arm tracks (B) and press Record: the take is the stereo mix (Export), and each armed track gets a region where it played. Double-click a lane to add a 4-bar region; drag regions to move them; Option+←/→ nudges; Backspace deletes. Arrange makes tracks with regions play only inside them.
Faders, mutes and sends drive the Paisley Precision Mixer and SpaceFX directly: the same parameters and ramps as the Canvas view. Solo fades the other tracks out. Inserts list what is switched on; tap one to open it.
Groove swing, feel and humanise for the Drum machine
Humanise is seeded, so a bounce has the same feel as what you heard.
Bass machine
On Follow the StyleControl plus the note keys plays it live (Control+Z / X shifts its octave). Notes follow the Style's key and chord changes.
∞ Regen fresh variations of a device while the transport runs
RunSame seed, same variations. Changes land on the bar line: controls glide, kit and step changes start on the downbeat. Key, tempo and levels are never changed, and the master true-peak limiter stays last.
Step 1 of 2 How do you make music?
Same tools in every layout, arranged differently. Change it any time with Layout at the top.
loads a dialled-in rig: tempo, drums, sounds, effects and room.
Styles
Pick a style to load a complete rig: tempo, swing, drum kit and beat, instrument, warmth, effect sends, mixer levels, Nightclub room and a cued Gem sample set. Undo and A/B any time.

Step 2 of 2 Bring your own audio
Optional. Add as many lossless files as you like: WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC or DSD (.dsf / .dff). Lossy files (MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, Opus, WMA) are refused, with the reason. Files are checked by their bytes, decoded one at a time and stay on this device.

Upsampling keeps every sample but adds no detail the original never had. De-noise only acts on steady noise it can measure; if the quietest parts look like music it holds back and says so.
Browsers need one tap before they play audio. Or just hit a key, a pad or a vibe: your first touch starts the sound. Everything runs on your device.

Synth
Synth – Sub Bass
Seconds are shown to 9 decimal places, worked out from the sample index ÷ sample rate. The real resolution is one sample. The sequencer, delay sync and MIDI clock all run on this counter.
Pedalboard
Original pedal designs with generic names. Signal flows left to right; drag a pedal (or use ↑ ↓) to reorder. Drives and the amp run 8× oversampled; the cabinet response is generated in code (no third-party impulse responses). Double-click a knob to reset it.
Instrument controls
Every control here can be MIDI-learned. Double-click a slider to reset it. All sounds are synthesised in your browser: no samples.
What these figures mean
Audio device = the browser's reported base + output latency. Processing = delay added by the live effects chain, measured per node. Notes start on the next 128-sample block; there is no scheduling look-ahead for live notes. MIDI input = how long after a note arrives at the port the studio acts on it, and how much that varies (jitter). Every path has some delay, and your speakers or Bluetooth headphones add their own delay on top.Beat Rack
Use pattern tempoDrag bars or use ↑ ↓ (← → to move). Double-click resets a step.
Pattern library
Studio desk
Classic-studio style signal path on the master bus, live and printed into takes and bounces. Original designs with generic names, not copies of any product. Order: reverb return → channel strip → program EQ → tape → bus compressor → finishing (on export).
Transformer channel strip
Preamp drive with level-dependent harmonics (4× oversampled), inductor-style 3-band EQ and high-pass.
Valve program EQ
Passive-style curves with a gentle tube stage. Boost and cut the lows at once for the classic tight-but-full bottom.
Tape machine
Saturation (4× oversampled), head bump, wow and flutter, optional hiss.
VCA bus compressor
Stereo-linked feed-forward VCA design. Fixed ratios, auto release and a sidechain high-pass so the kick doesn't pump the mix.
Plate & chamber reverb
Algorithmic feedback-delay-network reverbs generated live; no impulse responses.
NextGen SpaceFX
Deep-space reverb, shimmer, freeze, 3D orbit and a cosmic delay. An aux return fed by sends; a safety limiter (−1 dBFS) sits on the output so feedback can't run away. Safety limiter:

Console emulator
Mix a full multitrack on a studio console
16 channels of our own console strip (transformer preamp, inductor-style EQ, high-pass, dynamics, four sends), four subgroups, reverb, tape delay, echo and SpaceFX returns (sends 1–4), a master EQ and true-peak limiter, a VCA-style bus compressor and tape on the mix. Original design, generic names; the demos are synthesised here, with no samples or copyrighted music.
Pick a demo session: it loads pre-mixed in one click.
The desk runs in real time with 32-bit float processing. A CPU check runs when a demo loads.

True-peak limiter
Limiting . Look-ahead limiter with 2× oversampling and a true-peak stage (4× interpolated), so the ceiling holds between samples too, measured to within 0.1 dB on our test signals.
Peak and true peak (4× oversampled), RMS, loudness (ITU-R BS.1770 K-weighting: momentary, short-term 3 s, integrated) and stereo correlation.
Tube Rack
Six original valve-stage models, 8× oversampled with linear-phase filters (aliasing measured below −59 dBc), click-free model changes, every model loudness-matched so you compare tone, not level.

Auto Regen
Same seed, same rolls: settings are reproducible. Ranges are kept musical (no runaway gain).
AI Studio · ReGen Stems
Splits a lossless mix into Drums, Bass, Other and Lead on your device. Nothing is uploaded. No separation is perfect: expect some bleed, and judge it with the quality score, the null test and the bleed heatmap.
No source loaded. Drop a WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC or DSD file anywhere on this page.
This file is mono (or nearly). There are no left/right cues, so separation relies on pitch and timbre only, and the spatial view collapses to the centre.
Separation settings
Auto-Refine re-estimates each stem from the others, then hands the phase-inverse residual (mix minus all stems) back to the stems by their share of each band, so the stems always add back up to the mix.
Stems
- Stems appear here after separation.
Quality
Bleed heatmap
Rows are stems, columns run from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Brighter cells mean more bleed.
Inverse view
Polarity-invert stems and add them back to the mix. Mix minus one stem plays everything except that stem; mix minus all stems is the residual, which should be silence.
Separate stems to use the inverse view.
Spatial view
Left to right is stereo position, up is frequency, depth is time. Drag to rotate. With Lasso on, the view faces front: draw round a cloud to move those sounds into their own stem. Mono sources all sit in the centre, so the lasso can only split them by frequency.
Spatial mix
Spatial is the default: each stem is an object you can place around you. Monitoring uses your browser's HRTF on headphones. Exports are open formats; none is Dolby-certified, so check them in your renderer.
7.1.4 channel order: L R C LFE Lrs Rrs Lss Rss Ltf Rtf Ltb Rtb (WAV channel-mask order); LFE is left empty for your renderer's bass management. AmbiX is ACN order with SN3D normalisation. In the ADM file, drums and bass are in the 7.1.4 bed and the other stems are objects. All exports are 32-bit float at the source sample rate.

Remix a cover
- Pick a cover from the gallery, or upload your own art.
- Stem it into colour, line and mask layers, then blend, move and add effects.
- Export a lossless PNG up to 4000 px.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
